Yet another mystery waiting to be unravelled. This came on the Thursday evening that just passed… and I have yet caught the fella who molested my laptop months ago (but I do know it was from 13/07…) This case is tougher…

 Argh! This is really an infuriating Monday. I hope I didn’t scare off the colleagues around me with my angry, speedy marking. I think I did, though. They must have observed the fumes above my head.

 Meetings, briefings, and quite an extended lunch to break the monotony of marking which nauseated me anyway later in the evening till I let out a grunt and decided to leave the hell-hole for good. What burnt my day was the early face-off with some students: when the end is not really the end and some think it is the end, it is actually the beginning for others. And other tasks can all be starting and happening at the same time. Of course, almost all of us are guilty of being shallow-sighted: we don’t see the frantic paddling of the swan but only the grace of it above the calm, the water upon which it sits.

Promo, standardisation, testimonials, recommendation letters for students (always a sad moment as we play the almighty), and of course PW. The hectic semester has been a factor.

Sometimes it’s good to reflect why am I still in this sector since I’ll earn bigger bucks elsewhere (no kidding, you do the sums; I bet you can’t solve this simple Math question!) The candle’s still burning brightly in the wind.

It’s back to the grind.
